Our pricing is transparent. You know from the start exactly what you'll pay for our services: a fixed initial fee, annual membership, and a 3-yearly re-accreditation.

Our policies are transparent and publicly viewable. TEFL students can view exactly how we measure and validate the TEFL courses that we accredit.

Our Fee Structure

This document outlines the fee structure for TEFL course accreditation and ongoing membership with ITEFLOCA. All fees are designed to support the thorough review process conducted by our qualified team of TEFL professionals.

SECTION 1: INITIAL ACCREDITATION FEES

1.1 Provider Verification / Accreditation

  • Initial Provider Verification: $149 / year 
    • Includes review of provider website and public information
    • Assessment of eligibility for course accreditation
    • Pay upfront for the full 3 years ($447 minus $75 initial fee)

1.2 Course Accreditation Fees

Fees are based on an individual course basis (accreditation fees are calculated per course):

Payment Schedule:

  • 50% deposit (of one year’s fee) due at submission of Formal Course Accreditation Application 
  • Remaining 250% due upon completion of the accreditation review, upon accreditation awarded status (provisional or full). If you are denied (‘not yet’ status) accreditation, you have one attempt to meet those specifically flagged standards.

SECTION 2: MEMBERSHIP FEES

2.1 First Year Membership

  • First year provider accreditation membership is included with initial course accreditation fee
  • Covers all administrative and listing services for 12 months from accreditation date

2.2 Annual Renewal Fees

After the first year, annual provider accreditation membership fees apply:

Membership Benefits Include:

  • Continued listing in ITEFLOCA directory of accredited providers
  • Use of ITEFLOCA accreditation badge/seal for website and marketing materials
  • Annual verification check
  • Support for provisionally accredited courses working toward full accreditation
  • Access to ITEFLOCA standards updates
  • Ability to sign-up for certificate design and mailing service

 

SECTION 3: RE-ACCREDITATION FEES

All accredited courses must undergo full re-accreditation every 3 years, but fixed fees are limited to an increase (to cover inflation) of less than 20% including taxes:

Payment Schedule:

  • 50% deposit of one-year fee (+ <20%) due at submission of Formal Course Re-Accreditation Application 
  • Remaining 250% of the 3-year fixed fee due upon completion of the accreditation review, upon accreditation awarded status (provisional or full). If you are denied (‘not yet’ status) accreditation, you have two attempts to meet those specifically flagged standards.
  • Essentially, this process should be a formality – considering the status of your course as pre-accredited at this stage); however, courses that have drastically changed, for example, may need to be changed in order to realign with ITEFLOCA’s strict standards
  • One year provider accreditation membership is included with the re-accreditation fee (provided you meet our standards)
 

SECTION 4: ADDITIONAL SERVICES AND FEES

SECTION 5: PAYMENT INFORMATION

5.1 Accepted Payment Methods

5.2 Currency

  • All fees are listed in United States Dollars (USD$)
  • Payments in other currencies will be converted at the current exchange rate

5.3 Invoicing

  • Invoices will be issued for all fees
  • Payment terms: 14 days from invoice date

SECTION 6: REFUND POLICY

  • Initial Provider Verification: Non-refundable once the accreditation process has been paid for
  • 50% Accreditation Deposit: Non-refundable once review process has begun
  • Final 250% (Fixed 3-year) Payment: Non-refundable for the first year: refunds can be given for an annual period with one month notice prior to the year(s) requested, but can only be processed for full annual periods
  • Exception: Full refund if ITEFLOCA fails to complete review within 30 days of access being granted
